2015 K.C.S.E. IRREGULARITY
It was all over in the main stream media, social media – sarcastically the illiterates could also access the exam prior to the time it was to start! It was song of the day and nobody seemed to care what the hell was happening with the whole matter. Neither the government nor the K.N.E.C. officials claimed to be responsible about the exam leakage.
The K.N.E.C.  CEO Dr. Kivilu responded to the claims saying the exam papers that circulated in the social media were past mock exams. The main stream media could display some of the papers a day before, but amazingly, the K.N.E.C. could prove it right that they were responsible by bringing the same papers! Could this be all coincident of the mock papers with the 2015 K.C.S.E. papers as claimed by the C.E.O? The question has not yet been answered so far.
The CS for Education Prof. Kaimenyi had the same rhythm as the K.N.E.C. officials indicating that even the government had blind-folded concerning the 2015 K.C.S.E. irregularity.
Could this be a government plan to suppress Kenya Education system? Could this also be a government strategy to counteract the teachers’ strike that lasted for five weeks? One of the secondary school teacher said it was government’s plan to suppress teachers’ efforts due to the strike they had and also to counteract any future teachers’ strike.
‘’All this is government plan to provide the exam leakage and claim that the students were fully prepared inspite of the national teachers’ strike,” Mr. Osebe said, a Chemistry and Biology teacher at St. Martin’s Kyumani Secondary School in Kibwezi, Makueni County.
He was responding to the statement that Dr. Kivilu gave in response to the request that the Teachers’ Unions had send to him to postpone the examination date due to unpreparedness of the students as a result of the teachers’ strike. Dr. Kivilu said that they cannot postpone the exam dates as the students are fully prepared for the exam.
“Kivilu wants to fake the teachers’ efforts by being responsible for the entire 2015 K.C.S.E. leakage,” Mr. Osebe added.
The big question remains unanswered, who was behind the 2015 K.C.S.E. exam irregularity? Will it also happen to the 2015 K.C.P.E. exam?
